Gypsum steel silo
Gypsum steel silos are mainly constructed of large steel plates. They offer excellent sealing and pest resistance, effectively ensuring grain quality and safety.
Gypsum steel silos are one of the most common methods of storing lime in the industry. Flyer utilizes advanced German silo construction technology, resulting in a unique construction process. During construction, a 495 mm wide coil is first fed into a bending machine via an uncoiler. The coil is then bent and seamed, then rolled into the desired geometric shape using a forming machine. Circular spiral ribs, 30-40 mm wide, are formed transversely around the silo, providing structural reinforcement. The silo construction equipment can also perform double bending for two different materials.
What are the characteristics of gypsum steel silo construction?
The gypsum steel silo is constructed on-site, with the top mounted on the ground.
No scaffolding or other auxiliary equipment is required.
Flyer lime steel silos also feature a spiral design that eliminates the need for nails or screws. The remaining steel plate is sewn together using a sewing machine, significantly simplifying the construction process and saving labor.
The silo construction equipment can form and bend at speeds of 3-5 m/min, significantly shortening the construction cycle. We only need one truck to transport the silo construction equipment on site, so transportation costs are low.
Spiral silos are made of thin galvanized steel sheets, and their capacity is only equivalent to the weight of the cement silo's steel reinforcement, making construction costs much lower.
