The design prototype is a Jingdezhen kiln shadow celadon underglaze red stem cup unearthed from a Yuan Dynasty hoard in Hangzhou in 1987, now the signature treasure of Hangzhou Museum. Underglaze red was extremely difficult to fire in the Yuan Dynasty, and intact surviving examples are extremely scarce. Natural bleeding of the underglaze red pigment forms a soft gradient pink tone, earning the artifact the affectionate nickname "Yuan Maiden Porcelain". The design team extracted three core iconic visual features of the relic: pink-celadon gradient glaze, crackle textures and layered tall stem. Excavation scars are simplified while the warm antique porcelain ambiance is preserved, crafting a replica ornament tailored for modern interior spaces.
